I love the aspect ratio snapshots - making it so much easier to versionize my videos in FCPX. But! Snapshots doesn't seem to work with altering rig parameters.

In this case, I have a rig which aligns text to either left / center / right. At the same time moving the text to be on either side/in the middle.

When I make snapshots in other aspect ratios, I am simply not allowed to change the rig for each snapshot.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

I know how to make templates adapt to **any** aspect ratio (without snapshots).

You're looking at the problem from the wrong angle.

Rigged values should be consistent no matter what -- it's what they control that needs to adapt.

If I were setting up text to align left, center, or right in different aspect ratios, I would use Paragraph format text and change the size of the Paragraph controls (which I do believe can be Snapshotted [if that's a word]). Then it wouldn't matter at the Rig widget level.
