… Motion Mastermind F.Mahoney published a scary observation:
On export/'share', Motion converts (in most presets) audio's sample-rate to 44.1.
… which is not standard in video (48kHz), which is not wanted, not optional, has no 'permission' by the user.
… ok, who exports audio from Motion anyhow, one can argue …
But not using 48 is … a scandal. Or, at last, a beginners mistake.
So, all Motionistas, feedback time, please:

Who the hell exports audio in a Motion project? Sheez....
Oh wait, I do. I have several weekly TV spots that only need dates and locations changed. Or the product on sale for that month. All done in Motion, so the music and VO stuff is all there and exported.
BUT I use a custom Compressor preset so my audio details are set there.
Just ran a test with a generic QT movie export. Original was 32-bit, 96kHz audio. The exported ProRes QT movie had audio at 16-bit, 44.1kHz. Which is very interesting, especially since 49kHz is standard audio (broadcast standard) sample rate.
I made a custom preset in Compressor to export ProRes QT with broadcast standard audio. It seems to work fine, got my high rez audio out of it.

Any update on this?
Motion still converts the sample rate to 44.1 KHz when you export audio only via the Share menu.
