Stabilizing Dolly shot: Multiple Trackers

Hi,

I have a long dolly shot (x-axis) that I need to stabilize. I have added the stabilize behavior and I want to use my own trackers to track the shot. Since this is a dolly, my reference will continue to change and move out of the clip. To begin, I add a tracker and track until the reference is out of frame. I then add another tracker, pick a new reference and track again. I do this until the end of the clip.

The problem is that only the first tracker is evaluated in the stabilize. All of the trackers are enabled, but it seems that once the timeline progresses past the tracker1 keyframes, the next tracker's reframes are not used in the stabilize.

From reading the Motion Docs, it seems that this should work and I should be able to use multiple trackers. Does it should like I am going about this incorrectly? Has anyone else experienced and issue similar?

Thanks,

Wes

No, all Tracker points must be visible from start to end of clip.

Duplicate the Layer that clip is in, as many as will be necessary. Trim each into a section you can have visible Tracking points from start to finish. See if that works.

Or in FCP X, right-click the clip, Analyze & Transform (something like that), and then enable that auto-corrected stabilization. See if it works well enough.
