Can't find a template for HD 1280x720p MOV

Whilst I have lots of footage from my older Sony Video camera in HDV which works fine, I am trying to edit some video taken from a Digi camera - HD 1280x720p. I think I have tried all of the templates to find one that will match this but have failed. The only way I can edit this it to converted it to DV Pal, but of course I lose quality.

Can you advise IF such a template exists OR how to edit one for this format. and provide the various settings..

I must admit I did not think this was that hard to answer or maybe FCP 7 cannot use 1280x720P video.

It's not hard to answer, make any timeline in FCP7 then drop one of your clips onto it - FCP will then ask if you want to change the timeline to match the footage you just dropped onto it - Say Yes.

Hello.. I did post a reply but somehow it did not happen. I was not aware that FCP 7 actually could alter a template to suit the media. If I do this, can I then Save that particular template for further use?
