Rendering red screen on certain layers

I'm experiencing problems with layers not rendering in FCP. The image shows the use of mCollage with a photo frame, background, tape on the sides of frame, movement layer and an effects layer. I don't think the problem is with the plugin as I have other almost identical graphics that render out perfectly every time, same bg layer. In FCPX it shows correctly but on export it shows as red. On the same timeline I have had issues with Keyper as well rendering as a red screen. The timeline is long, 70mins, it's pretty much all multicam shot 1080p 25 with animated images as b-roll. Most of the images are animated with my own Motion templates and render reliably. I'm wondering if this could be a RAM issue, as in not enough. FCP 10.6.10 Ventura 13.5.2 Mac mini M1 16GB If I render this part of the timeline will FCPX use the render files for the export? 

You might try setting in and out points close to one of the places where the issue occurs, then try to export just that portion of the timeline. You might also try (as you suggested) to render the problem spots in-place/manually, then see if that helps.
