MacBook Pro internal Monitor for AV output

I just downgraded from a three monitor setup to two monitors to save a little space on my desktop. Now I hope I could use the internal monitor of my MBP for AV output and use those two monitors for a dual FCPx desktop view. I know that AV output is only available for external monitors but maybe there is any workaround to AV output to the internal monitor? If I put the viewer to the internal monitor and make it full screen I loose the desktop view of my second monitor.

I'm not able to test this, but one thing you could try...

Connect your monitor(s), then open up System Settings / Displays, and move your menubar to a monitor that isn't the built-in screen - in the panel where you can rearrange their spatial relationship, you'll see one of them has a menubar at the top, and you can just drag that to another screen. Then re-try the AV output thing.

Thanks. I am afraid theres no way. AV output is only available for the HDMI output of the mbp AND if this screen isnt the main screen (with the menu bar you mentioned). If its any other monitor there is no AV output but only the full screen playback window.. By the way: Is there any difference in Quality between Full Screen Viewer Playback and AV output? Whats the difference besides the possiblity to have a three monitor setup?
