Can I sort clips?

I'd like to drag an drop all my clips onto my timeline alphabetically, but it's pasting in reverse-alphabetical time.  How can I order my clips alphabetically, do I have to drag them 1 by 1?  Or is there a way to reverse them all once they are on the timeline?

Your image link shows that you've got your file list in the browser in reverse order - try switching the sort by clicking the little carat at the upper-right corner of that column and try your select/paste again.

I can't seem to find the carat icon. I tried the clicking on the 3 icons next to all clips and none of them changed the sorting. The filmstrip icon does give me a sort by but it's greyed out.

As @dmetz says, you have your list order reversed.

Click on the column header title to reverse the sort order. In your case you have sorted by "Name" so click on the actual word "Name" and you will see the listing reversed. Just like in the Finder on a Mac.
