Hi everyone,
I'm editing a 52' documentary on FCPX 10.6.6 MacStudio M1 Ultra.
I encounter this (FCPx export failed error -536870181) when i try to export a master file in ProRes, but if i choose H264 the export works.
The only way i've found is to divide my timeline in 5 part, export in ProRes, reimport thoses 5 files in a new project and then export this new timeline.
Do you have an idea ?

I'm on Monterey 12.6.2, I've ever deleted generated file, and export failed on Avid Nexis but also on Internal SSD.

Re error -536870181, if I convert it to hexadecimal = 0xE00002DB, then search on variations of that hex number, it leads to the open source file IOReturn.h, which is part of the IOKit framework used in macOS. There we find the below definition:

#define kIOReturnNoSpace iokit_common_err(0x2db) // no space for data

Superficially it might mean out of disk space, but it's a kernel call, so it could also mean insufficient data buffer space for some kernel action.

That said, the fact it works on an H264 export (which is much smaller) and it works with a segmented ProRes 422 could indicate a transient disk space issue.

I'd suggest verifying you have plenty of free disk space on all drives, especially the system drive. Also have Activity Monitor's "Memory" page running during the export. Watch the memory pressure graph during the export, also the top memory consumers during that period.

All drives should be formatted as either MacOS Extended Journaled or APFS. If any drives are formatted as ExFAT or something else, those may not handle certain conditions well such as fragmentation.

Enough space on all disk...
I've also a MacPro 2019, running same OS and FCPX Version, and export in ProRes HQ work perfectly.
Problem is M1 Ultra with 12.6.2.

That is conceivable. On earlier versions of FCP and MacOS, there were some bugs unique to M1 Max and M1 Ultra machines, possibly related to the parallel video engines. Some I've worked on have been fixed in newer versions, so I suggest upgrading the FCP and MacOS versions on the M1 Ultra machine.
