Synchronization Issues Between GoPro Videos and DJI Mic Audio

Hello everyone,

I've just returned from an 11-day backpacking trip where I collected an extensive amount of footage to edit. I recorded over 480 short videos with my GoPro and 240 short audio recordings with my DJI mic. For about half of the videos, I didn't record additional audio as it was not relevant.

I'm now faced with the task of syncing the DJI mic audio recordings with the corresponding GoPro video recordings. Is there an automated way to accomplish this within Final Cut Pro, or should I tackle it manually?

I've already attempted to select all the video and audio clips and use the "Synchronize Clips..." function. However, after several hours of processing, the result was completely incorrect. Some video clips precede others that were actually recorded earlier, audio tracks overlap and are not temporally consistent, and so on.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions you can provide. Thank you!
