Depth of field cinematic extremely blurry in Final Cut but OK in iPhone, I deleted FC preferences and restore iPhone 14 Pro to latest software, but DOF in FC looks like 300x
please check this examples to better understanding:
the f16 one is the f2.0 in th iPhone, the f2.0 in FC is too extreme and the edges are super bad, the problem is I cant reduce DOF beyond 16 (in iOS I can)

Im having this problem with all cinematic videos, and when i deleted the DC preferences (crtl+alt) the DOF disapeared from all the cinematic videos in the project, even the "cinematic" box was ticked, no DOF was shown, I had to create new project and put them again, but then, DOF was bad as before

its macOS 13.3.1 iOS 16.5 and FC 10.5 (I know the 10.6.6 is out there but 10.6.5 is working to me and was working OK with cienamtic, I dont like "new bugs" as the one FC got in 10.4 about skip render frames that ruined me so many projects)
FC 10.6.5 was working OK until I dont know when, I cant remeber if I updated latest version of Ventura, or iOSS.
weird thing is if I open another library with old cinematic projects already edited and rendered, they look OK, but at some point, the bug comes again and DOF gets extreme, I close and open and lokks bad, close and open looks good, but then bad...

I'm having the exact same issues as you describe. I tested it with multiple macOS Version, iOS Versions, 3 (!) different iPhone Pro (13 Pro, 2x 14Pro).... it's acting wild and sometimes creates way to extreme DoF...sometimes no DoF at all (like even with 2,0 you almost can't see a difference)...
At this point I have no idea whatsoever what could cause this issue. And I almost can't believe that the internet didn't bring much up, other than this one Forum posting.
I appreciate this posting a lot and I hope more people will realize that there seems to be something really buggy in FCP with rendering this DoF correctly. I can't believe that no YouTube Video mentions this.
Today I am having this issue again with multiple libraries, projects, restarts of FCP and the whole OS...and so on.
For now it's:

For now it's:
- iOS16.6, iPhone 14 Pro
- macOS Ventura 13.4.1 (c), MacBook Pro 14" M2 Pro
