Hello for some reason 70% of the time my fcpx won’t close and I’ve to resort to exiting the programme via option,command ,escape.

What OS and FCP versions are you using? Lot of reports of similar problems in 10.6.

Yes version 10.6 and come to think of it it only started happening periodically after I upgraded to this version.
