Opening book effect 17 Sep 2015 11:13 #68629
I have to make an effect in Final Cut. It has to be like a storybook that opens and the video continues. In the end, the book shows up again, and it shuts. On the back of the book there´s going to be some text.
Any ideas how to do this? Thanks! |

The opening book effect in Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) is a creative way to engage your audience. To achieve this effect, you can use keyframe animations to simulate the book's pages turning. It's a visually appealing technique that can add depth and intrigue to your video projects. Just like how mastering

in coledge contributes to your academic success, mastering FCPX effects enhances your video editing skills.

Is it just me or does that reply reek of an AI generated response? Lots of flowery words saying nothing meaningful OR helpful. My vote it's entirely AI babble. |

+1 My first thought was exactly the same. Good call. I've had ChatGPT repeatedly do this kind of thing, i.e., mention a feature that may exist in some NLE when asked specifically about FCP. When told about its error, it apologizes in its identifiably "sugary" way, then usually spews out another "guess". It is likely that this kind of response by ChatGPT and other Large Language Models for predictive text (LLM, not real AI or even close) are part of the way that it further trains itself by getting input from users... --- @fridab, sorry, but I couldn't find a "page turning storybook" effect in a quick search. There is a page curl transition in FCP, but that isn't what you probably want. There are some tutorials on how to do a simulated 3D page turning effect with After Effects on YT and elsewhere. Apparently, there used to be a plugin/effect that did this kind of animation, as mentioned by someone on Apple Discussions many years ago, but no name was mentioned and it was likely made for a version of FCP prior to FCPX. |

Might search motionarray.com or videohive.net or envato.com to see if there's a template / plugin that you can jump right into something like below that's easily modified. On this job I found it quicker to film the albums and flip the pages in realtime to establish a layout & content inventory before launching into individual presentation of the images. Maybe the Travel Book Opener will fit your plan. Search those sites and I'm sure you'll find others.

… that's a new pest here on the boards, I guess, to workaround our "first 3 posts" rule. I could swear, I had erased this one! The elaborated ones come with human name and human avatar… mostly as 'answer' to years old requests, like here (2015!!) sorry for any inconvenience! The grumpy janitor |
