I can't render audio effects? was created by Matthew
I've applied a few izotope audio effects that won't playback live and I can't seem to find a way to force the audio to render. Any ideas?

Hi Matthew,
Do you see an orange render line above the clip with the audio effects?

No orange bars at all but it can't play back the isotope de-clipper and denoiser.

Yes, this can happen with highly processor-intensive external audio plugins. The effects processing has to be done on-the-fly and this can cause playback stutters if your processor cannot cope with it in realtime.
Check if your playback preferences are set to "Better Performance". If the file still does not play smoothly with this setting: try hiding the audio waveforms, these are processor-intensive as well. If this still does not improve playback: set Clip Appearance in the Timeline to display your clips without thumbnails or waveforms.
If all this still does not help the best thing you can do is open the audio file in the izotope standalone app, do the processing in the app and export the processed audio file for FCPX.
