FCPX or Compressor won't create any DVD or Blu-ray Disc

I can't figure why it doesn't work anymore, but the app "disc creation" doesn't launch after FCPX or compressor have successfully created the 2 files needed for DVD or Blu-ray.
This happens both when I choose hard disk destination or straight burning.
I tried the usuals deleting prefs, repairing permissions, used Compressor Repair, uninstalled then reinstalled the apps from the App Store...
I can't remember having installed something that could have corrupted my system.
Does anyone already faced this ?

I've noticed the same thing. Haven't had time to investigate the problem further though. FCPX makes the files OK in the Shared Items folder, but the burning never starts. Had to use Toast 11 to burn those files to DVD and BD.
I shall try a new user account and see if that makes a difference.
I'm on a late '11 MBP with 16 Gigs of Ram and OSX 10.8.2.

I think there are some quirks with Compressor 4 and FCPX and possibly Mountain Lion. I haven't exactly narrowed things down yet and I haven't seen the failure to burn a disc with compressor but I do get repeatable compressor errors when trying to save a still frame from within FCPX timeline after about the 5th or 6th save. Restarting FCPX works every time and I have reported details to Apple.

I tried suggestions for that on this forum such as checking QMaster settings, repairing compressor, etc. etc. with no luck. So I am beginning to think Compressor is is need of an update. For the record, I have not tried to burn a disc with Compressor under OS 10.8.2 but never had any issues with 10.8.1. Using Mac Pro 12 core with 10.8.2 and the save still image from timeline problem still exists.

I'm on an iMac i7 - 16Go RAM - OSX 10.8.2

No success here so far. I've tried creating a new user, used FCS remover to remove Compressor 4, Compressor 3, Qmaster and FCP X. Both the Superdrive and the external BD burner work fine with Toast 11 and DVD Studio Pro.
And should there be a Create Disc app somewhere inside Qmaster since I can't find it anymore?

EDIT: OK, I found the Create Disc app inside FCPX, but it seems like both Compressor nor FCPX can't find it or can't get access to it.

Anyone have any idea?

Weehey! After the latest and greatest update it's working again! FCP X 10.0.6 and Compressor 4.0.5.

Edit: Compressor does not start disk burning.

It's working for me with FCPX but not with Compressor !

After updating to the new 10.06 i cannot share to a disc. dvd or bluray. i can share to a file as i did with a 264 to the hard drive but no DVD.

I exited fcp and reopened and tried the share to dvd again. I think its working??? my prossesors are going at it but i cant seem to find the little window that says about the rendering % or the progress of the render. was that something called share monitor? I cant find it?

ok it did burn a dvd. the only problem was i couldnt tell i was converting to burn other than my processors were all being used and after a while a disc started burning

In version 10.0.6 there is no longer a share monitor. Your renders are GPU driven and happen in the background.

⌘9 or clicking on the Background Tasks button in the Dashboard will bring up the Background Tasks window to see what is going on.

Ok but still the problem with compressor not launching the "disc creation" app.

if i want to export a project 3 times (one for youtube, one for vimeo and one for dvd) , i can use share to 3 destinations... but fcpx renders 3 outputs from scratch or one time (uncompressed) and then compress it for 3 dests ?

if its using the GPUs then why would my 8 cores be used so much? does it use both?

same here, works well with fcpx but not with compressor; compressor doesn't launch 'create dvd"

Have you tried: from the Finder, hold option key and select "Library" in the "Go" menu. Find the Qmaster folder and delete it. Open compressor twice to activate Qmaster. This solves the many problems I have with compressor.

I have the same problem as well. It's been driving me crazy for over a year. I'm using Compressor 4.0.7. Any suggestions?
