Compressor settings to get file sizes equal to QuickTime Player exports?

In order to save storage space, before importing to FCP, I've been using QuickTime Player to clip only the portions of my video that I need. This is quite time consuming though, as I'm clipping and saving literally hundreds of files. I thought I might be able to speed this process up a tiny bit by importing the full video to FCP, cutting the clips up there and then exporting the individual clips before re-importing them back into FCP and trashing the original full-length video. But my problem is that I've found that QuickTime Player saves the clips at a much smaller/preferable file size than FCP does. How do I set it so Compressor exports my files as QuickTime Player does?
