Chris Hocking demoed his BRAW Toolbox live on Ripple Training's YouTube channel. Worth a watch to see how this new tool adds a much requested feature to Final Cut Pro.
The review of BRAW Toolbox on this site by Iain Andersen got a lot of reads, so we thought we would embed the developer Chris Hocking's appearance with Steve Martin and Mark Spencer from their YouTube Channel.
It is always good to see a developer working their own software as they will show you the correct way to get the best results. Often it is very tempting to just dive in and 'wing it' but by doing that you can miss some of the critical features of the app!
Chris not only runs through how to get BRAW footage from Blackmagic cameras into Final Cut Pro, but also covers questions such as using BRAW verses ProRes RAW. He then goes on to demo Gyro Toolbox which can stabilise footage by using gyro metadata, pretty clever stuff.
A great watch from the Ripple guys and of course from Chris. We have embedded the whole presentation below, but if you want to jump straight to the demo, you will find that here.
