It's update time for the Pro Apps today. No new features, just bug fixes for all three and a few tweaks to iMovie.
I guess it was no surprise that a bug fix for the 10.4.9 update was going to happen soon. There was a large group of disgruntled Sony PVW-FX9 owners who found out that the latest update to the Pro Apps failed to read their media from cards. We would put that in the 'serious bugs' box file.
Well today, four weeks on from 10.4.9, Apple has done an update on all the Pro Apps and iMovie.
Final Cut Pro X 10.4.10
- Fixes an issue in which XAVC media from the Sony PXW-FX9 camera is not recognized.
- Fixes an issue where brightness levels shift when switching between Better Quality and Better Performance in the viewer.
- Fixes an issue in which effect keyframes are not added correctly when using onscreen controls.
- Improves stability when using the Transform tool with multiple clips in the timeline.
- Improves reliability when exporting FCPXML that contains Compound clips.
- Addresses an issue which could prevent sharing at certain resolutions.
- Fixes an issue in which sharing a Compound or Multicam clip from the timeline was disabled.
Motion 5.4.7
- Fixes an issue in which XAVC media from the Sony PXW-FX9 camera isn't recognised
Compressor
- Fixes an issue in which XAVC media from the Sony PXW-FX9 camera isn't recognised
iMovie 10.1.16
- Addresses an issue that prevented the sharing of some projects in HD or 4K resolutions
- Improves stability when importing media
Always good to see an FCPX update with bug fixes, no mention on a possible fix for slow exports that we have seen reported recently.
