What makes an advanced Premiere editor change NLEs to Final Cut Pro? The guys at the Summit Bid tell us why.
There is a 'lean forward' moment in this podcast very shortly after they move the subject on to switching to Final Cut Pro from Adobe's Premiere.
It all starts at around 19 minutes when the hosts Kemper & Toby Simpich describe how frustrated they were with Premiere not performing on their new 16" MacBook Pros.
Toby really liked Premiere, but because of the problems, Kemper persuaded him to give FCP a go. Here's what happened...
Within two to three edit sessions I could not foresee going back to Premiere because everything is responsive. Even just down to selecting which parts of the clips you want to use , it's perfectly smooth, you can scrub through your timeline without any problems.
That's a healthy endorsement from a former Premiere fan! Will the guys depart from Adobe's subscription plan totally? We will have to catch up with them in the future.
