fcpdotco website update

You might have noticed for the last few hours that the site has been down. Well we are back with a bigger, better and more expandable site, FCP.co Version 2. Hang on though, it doesn't look like much has changed, has it?

A couple of months ago we got hit more than once by somebody who instigated a brute force attack on the site. Not pleasant, but that's par for the course when running a successful website which is number one in its niche.

We thought the simple fix would be to just upgrade the server software to protect the site from such attacks, which we did. Unfortunately that had a knock on effect that caused some other problems, especially in the forum section. We now host one of the busiest FCP based forums on the internet and we were very keen to get the lively discussion board running exactly how it should.

The answer was to completely upgrade our CMS to the latest version. This wasn't as straight forward as it sounds as all the additional modules and plugins had to be updated too. It's taken weeks not days to get it right.

So please be patient with us as we go through the site looking for things that haven't come across or items that need minor tweaks. If anything is in the wrong place, wrongly formatted or indeed missing, then please let us know on the normal email editor(at)fcp(dot)co

Oh, and standby for more expansion very soon.
