angel hidalgo replied to the topic Re: FCPX unable to open effects in motion5 in the forums.ok. i clicked on GO from the desk top then i clicked on HOME. clicked on the MOVIES folder then RIGHT CLICKED on the MOTION TEMPLATE folder GET INFO. at the very bottom where it reads SHARING and PERMISSION i changed it from READ ONLY to READ & WRITE. now everything works like a charm. once again i thank you for taking the time out to help me.

I would like to thank you for guiding me to run a quick repair but that did not fix it. The error was on my part where I didn't have the permission to read and write on any folder is it was only read. Ugh! I did repair my hard drive thanks.
